NCO Association Asia Pacific Chairman Bobby J. McKnight

"All the soldiers, their families,
Korean employees at the base, Furthermore, to improve
the development and life of the community,
The ultimate goal would be to pursue a vision together."

I started my journey to become a leader in this field in 2011.I was behind many other people didn't know and will be chosen.I just wanted to help people need help, and when the time comes all think that it will go well.Accept post of chairman because he felt the need for some kind of community I will.
I'm very diligent, so I'm willing to spend the long time needed for the position and job itself. I graduated with 3 Masters degree i  2014, 2017 and 2019.

I will finish phd in may 2022.
My long-term vision for NCO is to continue to support Korea and the United States while developing other people's lives.

I plan to work with many affiliates and build more connections to continue to help others. Ultimately, I want to have an NCOA head-quarters in all bases. I hope NCOA will be the best company that represents everything that is good for both Korea and the United States.

▲ What is currently doing in the Association Asia Pacific region, sergeant?

From 2014 to date, triple helping children with disabilities and nursing homes.30 sites in an orphanage in Seoul and is trying to be hope to children.
In addition, U.S. Forces Korea Society jointly sharing the recycling clothing with his wife to an officer, to help homeless people.

At the end of each year, a kimchi festival is held with Koreans and various companies at the army base to deliver to orphanages and nursing homes.

▲ What's the good thing about coming to Korea?

It's been 20 years since I came to Korea. I was young when I first came. I remember that it was probably around Dongdaemun Market. It was when I knew nothing about Korea and had no information, but there was an incident where I lost all my bags.

At that time, when I was very frustrated and frustrated, a young couple in Korea taught me the way so kindly and helped me a lot, so I was able to return home safely.

I still remember being so warm and grateful.
Koreans are very kind.

▲ As the president of the Asia-Pacific Sergeant Association, is there any particular memorable activity?

At the end of last year and in Kimchi festival events.Kimchi directly to soldiers who don't know how to fill it with Koreans are very obliging and every one of me I was so impressive.
That moment was memorable for so long, and I felt the special affection of Koreans. It is also very memorable that the U.S. soldiers helped clean up together by enduring the smell while cleaning up together. All of them were happy and rewarding moments.

▲ I wonder what kind of plans Sergeant Bobby has in the future.

Would like to pay more attention to the friendly relations. It is the fact, it is used when it gets colder, more homeless people.Still continuing but homeless people in the future of food, clothing and shelter that want to do more attention and effort in. U.S. soldiers and U.S. military families, employees who work together in I think I can not be better they would very much personally very excited about younghwasok. They were inside in the development of more externally and will try to be more active exchange of good Japanese-American relations can be and try to continue.

▲ I want to happen, but I'll do it in the future?
The ultimate goal of the Asia-Pacific Staff Association is to work with the U.S. military and Korean companies to further upgrade and help orphans, nursing homes, and homeless people.
